"Being elected as the Illinois Affiliate President-Elect would allow me the opportunity to pay forward the guidance and mentorship previous leaders have provided to me. Throughout my 12 years as a dietitian, I have had the honor to be mentored by previous District and State affiliate leaders, and that has made me the strong leader, and professional I am today. 

As President and President-Elect, I will be dedicated to the position by remaining available and attentive to arising tasks and time sensitive issues and/or concerns. Actively volunteering in numerous state and district academy roles, while working full-time as a clinical dietitian has helped me to strengthen my organizational skills, allowing me to stay disciplined and effective as a leader. I will also bring value to my team by remaining respectful of their time, and appreciative of their hard work and dedication within their individual roles. 

During my time as President-Elect, I will use my skillsets in leadership, management, and professional development to carry on the values previously instated by leaders before me; and will strive to meet the very diverse needs of the Illinois Academy members and leadership team."
