Your Role as an Advocate

Join us in Springfield for the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' annual Advocacy Day! This event offers an opportunity to learn about the legislative process, connect with fellow nutrition professionals, and stay informed on state and federal policies affecting nutrition and health care.

Students, registered dietitian nutritionists, nutrition and dietetics technicians, registered, and other nutrition professionals are encouraged to participate and advocate for evidence-based nutrition policy. Together, we can educate policymakers, strengthen our profession, and help shape legislation that improves the health of Illinois communities.
