Lisa is a registered and licensed dietitian. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Lewis University. She also holds a bachelor's degree in nutrition and a master's degree is in nutrition and wellness, both from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois.

In addition to serving her community as a twic elected school board member and official Board Spokeperson, she serves and holds leadership positions in professional associations. Lis currently serves as President of the West Suburban Dietetic Association while concurrently serving as its Legislative & Public Policy Chair. She has served as the Public Policy Coordinator for the Illinois Dietetic Association since 2009.

Lisa currently works for a large, multi-site urological practice where she was hired as their first-ever dietitian. In this position, she wrote the policy and protocols for the practice nutrition program, as well as consults with patients on prostate cancer, diabetes, weight loss, kidney stones, cardiovascular health and general health and wellness issues.

While her passion is professional speaking for consumers and professional audiences on a variety of nutrition topics, her areas of interest are expertise are diabetes, weight management, consumer food & nutrition trends, social media and nutrition, and food and nutrition policy.
