With fall and winter upon us, the new Board of Directors has been busy planning this year’s exciting events. SIDA will be kicking off the 2009-2010 year with several great programs. The Board of Directors has added a few new faces this year. Amanda Settle will now be serving as President-Elect, Kim Sneed as our new Secretary, Heather Holden-Burns as our new Treasurer, Cathy Ludwig-Bell as our Past-President, and Hollie Colle as our returning Nominating Committee. We appreciate Cynthia York Camden for serving again as our Website Coordinator and Dawn Null as co-chair of the Scholarship Committee.
The board has started the process of planning a wonderful year; however we would love to hear your ideas and suggestions. If you know of any exceptional speakers that would be willing to lead one of our SIDA meetings, please provide us with their contact information. SIDA is an excellent resource for networking, so I encourage you to attend as many meetings as possible. If you are aware of a position opening, the newsletter is a great way to advertise. Lastly, we are always looking for members to serve as officers, participate on committees, or assist in other small ways. Please let us know if you or someone you know would like to become more involved.
Let’s make 2009-2010 an outstanding year for SIDA. We encourage you to take part in this wonderful organization and find out how SIDA can provide you with affordable continuing education, varied nutrition topics, and professional networking.
