Presidents Message

As the spring approaches, SIDA will look forward to a new year. We have a slate of officers that have been working together to provide new programs and services this year. We appreciate thier help in making new innovative programs possible.
In January be sure to mark your calendars for our meeting on Saturday January 24, 2008. The meeting will be in Benton, Illinois at Franklin Hospital. We have two great speakers lined up Brian Carrol from Davita will talk about renal nutrition and Kim Fremont from Health Technologies will examine evidenced based nutrition for the elderly.
As reminder, we will be looking to fill several committee chair positions, Secretary, Treasurer and President Elect in the Spring. Did you know that being President-Elect includes a $100.00 stipend?
Remember, to keep this organization growing and remaining strong we need each member to contribute something to the organization…whether getting another non-member dietitian to join our group, become a board member, participate on a committee, help organize revenue and/or just suggest some ideas to better our group. Our goal is to have a steady income stream to ensure the future of our organization. If you are interested, please contact a BOD member.
If you have any items of interest, please forward them to newsletter chairperson: Amanda Settle at amanda.settle@va.gov
Feel free to email me at bell@onecliq.net with any ideas, comments or suggestions. We can all work together to make this season for SIDA the best year ever!
