Southern Illinois Dietetic Association - President's Message

Presidents Message

Posted: 11/16/2011

Hello and welcome to a new year with SIDA.  My name is Heather Holden-Burns and I am your President for the 2011-2012 year.

We have a great Fall program planned for September 21st at Blue Sky Vineyard.  Please note that the meeting is on a Wednesday night this year.  We have invited Karen Greathouse, PhD, RD, LDN who is a House of Delegates Representative to speak at the Fall Meeting.

The 2011-2012 membership renewal form is at the end of the newsletter.  Membership dues can be paid at the Fall meeting.  I strongly encourage everyone to fill out the bottom porting of the membership form under “Member Survey Questions.”  Your Board of Directors works very hard to plan programs that the membership is interested in and will benefit from.  Your feedback will greatly help us accomplish this.

We have a new Board this year. Their pictures and biographical information are in this newsletter.

We are always looking for members to serve as officers, participate on committees, or assist in other small ways.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to serving you this year.

Heather Holden-Burns, MEd, RD, LDN, CDE
