Welcome to the North Suburban Dietetic Association. The 2010-2011 program is complete and we are looking forward to an exciting year. We have many excellent speakers lined up and again are offering 13 CEUs with practical information the dietetics professional can use. See the schedule below for more details. We hope you will join us for our kick off meeting September 15, 2010. We will have an opening reception from 6:30 to 7:00 pm followed by our speaker.
After September, we will resume our usual schedule of meeting the first Wednesday of the month. We are trying a few new things this year by incorporating more hands on information at the meetings and we have scheduled the November meeting be a webinar so you can sit back and listen from the comfort of your home (or wherever you choose).
Also new this year, we are offering online payment of membership dues.
We hope you will join us. Membership rates remain at $40 for RDs, $25 for DTRs, and $15 for students. That is a bargain price of $3 per CEU (less for DTRs and students)!!
North Suburban Dietetic Association (NSDA) is an affiliate of the Illinois Dietetic Association. Membership in NSDA is open to American Dietetic Association (ADA) Members. Affiliate dietetic associations help keep dietetics professionals connected with colleagues, potential employers, and allow for networking opportunities. Benefits include continuing education offered through member meetings, networking opportunities, job announcements, announcements in newsletters, and useful up to date happenings in the dietetic profession. In addition, members are kept up to date regarding state legislative action, IDA, and ADA activities. Members also have the opportunity to be involved in leadership roles and are eligible for district and IDA awards.
